Framing on Victoria Road, the proper way
Ferndown Framers is an independent picture framer at 121 Victoria Road in the centre of Ferndown, trading for more than 35 years and certified by the Fine Art Trade Guild. We make frames by hand, one piece at a time, for people across Ferndown, West Parley, West Moors, Wimborne, Verwood, Ringwood and the wider Dorset area.
Picture framing is a craft of small, careful decisions. The width of a mount, the colour of a moulding, whether a print needs UV glass or a tapestry needs supporting before it's stretched — each one changes how the finished piece looks and how well it lasts. We make those decisions with you, at the counter, with the artwork in front of us.
That's the advantage of an independent framer over an off-the-shelf frame: nothing is approximate. The frame is cut and joined to fit your piece exactly, in materials chosen for what the piece needs and where it's going to hang.
Some long-standing customers will remember us as Forum Framers. Same workshop, same shop on Victoria Road, same hands cutting your frame — just a change of name.
What we believe. The frame should serve the picture, not compete with it. Good framing is the bit you don't notice — you just see the work, looking its best, protected for years.
