What we frame

Bespoke framing, made on the bench in Ferndown

Everything we make is built for the individual piece in front of us. Bring your artwork or object in and we'll work through the moulding, mount and glazing options together — there's never a charge for advice or a quote.

01

Bespoke picture framing

The heart of what we do. Choose from hundreds of mouldings and mount colours with us at the counter, and we build the frame to fit your piece exactly. Suitable for prints, original paintings, watercolours, photographs, certificates and posters.

Conservation & museum framing

For artwork you can't replace. We use acid-free, lignin-free mountboard and backing, archival hinging tapes that don't damage the paper, and UV-filtering glazing that slows fading. The standard for limited-edition prints, original art and documents.

Mount cutting

Single, double and multi-aperture mounts cut on the bench. A well-judged mount gives the picture room to breathe and is matched to both the artwork and the room it will hang in. Washline and decorative mounts also available.

Box & object framing

Deep frames built around three-dimensional things: medals and military insignia, football and rugby shirts, christening gowns, keepsakes, tools and memorabilia. Mounted securely so nothing slips, with space between object and glass.

Needlework, tapestry & textiles

Cross-stitch, embroidery, tapestries and other textiles need stretching square and supporting correctly before framing so they sit flat and don't sag over time. A speciality that rewards being done properly.

Canvas stretching

Loose or rolled canvases stretched onto bars ready to hang, with or without a frame. Also re-stretching of canvases that have gone slack in the corners.

Re-framing & repairs

Tired or damaged frames repaired, re-joined or replaced, and pictures re-mounted where old acidic mounts have started to mark the artwork. Worth checking older frames before the damage spreads.
